I could not live without this steel frying pan James stole from the first restaurant he worked at (Upstream in Omaha). It's a little warped, but my absolute favorite. That, a cutting board and a chef's knife = in business.

Love it, my dear! Things I need in the kitchen: food processor, rolling pin, mixer of some sort, knife and cutting board, and at least one pan. Those are my necessities, but I sure do love having more than that!
ReplyDeleteI'm such a weirdo, but the kitchen shears are now my can't live without item. I should probably talk about the microplane or the standing mixer, but if you got rid of those kitchen shears I'd really have some trouble!

ReplyDeleteI couldn't live without my Appalachian Bow Saw Bread Knife. It's the easiest way to cut bread in the world! I don't press down, I just lightly move the saw back and forth and it slices the bread beautifully. No smashed down bread, just a great slice. It looks exactly like this: http://www.extrasharpknife.com/site/1620714/product/141-8776053
